Continuing Prisma Graphic’s monthly tradition of highlighting our employees – this month we spoke to Mary Walker.

How long have you worked at Prisma Graphic?
It’s been a little over six years.

What is your position?
Quality Control Manager

What are the responsibilities of a quality control manager?
Even though Prisma has quality control measures in place for each department, sometimes, little things can go unnoticed. As the Quality Control Manager for Prisma, it is my job is to scrutinize every single job before it leaves our facility. I review samples from the customer’s perspective and search out any noticeable imperfections; including unusual marks, scratches, folds, alignments, extreme color variations, etc.

How do you enhance the client experience?
That’s easy, by acting as a client advocate, and a tough one at that, I am able to ensure the highest manufacturing quality possible on every project.

What has been one of your most rewarding moments?
As you can probably guess, my job is very tedious and detailed. Considering I am the last line of defense, most of my job satisfaction comes from knowing that I help protect Prisma’s great reputation for quality.

When you’re not helping meet clients’ what can we find you doing?
I love to listen to music, read and spend quality time with my family and friends.

In closing, is there anything else you want us to know about you?
Thanks to all our customers who provide all of the positive feedback. Although we are a team of commercial printing and marketing professionals, I always take some personal satisfaction each time I hear about how happy a client was with their final product. It’s those little things that make it all worth it.
