At the crossroads of faith and creativity, Maktab-e-Mizan in Fullerton, California, has long been a haven for spiritual seekers. Their latest offering—a beautifully curated poetry collection—invites readers on a journey inward. Through creative verses and striking imagery, the book explores the hidden treasures of the heart, blending art and reflection to awaken the soul.
To bring this vision to life, Maktab-e-Mizan partnered with Prisma, a leader in innovative publishing solutions. Together, they explored cutting-edge printing techniques that elevate the book into a tactile, visual experience—where every page feels as intentional as the words it carries. The result is more than a book; it’s a work of art, designed to be held, felt, and cherished.
A Poetic Vision Meets Print Reality
When Maktab-e-Mizan came to Prisma, they had a vision of creating a high-end, visually appealing poetry book, and they knew it demanded a level of detail and finish that pushed the boundaries of conventional print production.
Crafted With Care
To bring this vision to life, Prisma turned to the Iridesse digital press. Known for its specialty dry inks, the Prisma team was able to use this press to bring a level of customization and brilliance that other presses could not provide. Prisma ran 10 different tests to get the exact pop of gold and silver the team fell in love with. The Maktab-e-Mizan team was impressed with the results, so they decided to run metallics throughout the whole book. Additionally, a project on the Iridesse press would normally be run in eight-page signatures, but due to the gold and silver, the team ran it in four-page signatures to ensure the best quality and alignment.
A Masterpiece in Print
The collaboration with Prisma and Maktab-e-Mizan resulted in an exceptional product that exceeded the client’s expectations in both aesthetic quality and execution. The result is unmatched visual appeal.
With the use of digital metallic inks and specialty finishes, Prisma was able to help create a standout piece that would have been impossible with traditional methods.
