Packaging Buzz: Generating Client Success in Cannabis Packaging
The business of cannabis, CBD, and related products continues to grow at exponential rates. These companies’ packaging needs not only surmount legal and regulatory hurdles, but have technical challenges relating to product safety and efficacy, as well. Two Prisma partners found packaging ease and success with Prisma’s innovative solutions.
Marketing Logistics: Roadmap to Success
Our client is a greenhouse cannabis producer with five brands offering a range of products from flower to oils, edibles to extracts. They also have four retail dispensaries. This client approached Prisma with a need for end-to-end marketing logistics to help streamline the needs of its many brands, products, and retail locations. Their packaging needs were vast, and Prisma was more than up for the challenge. The Prisma team worked as an extension of this client’s creative and design department to push the packaging for each brand to the highest level. A variety of techniques were used to provide for the needs of each distinct brand and product. The Prisma team deployed the Komori offset press for speed and efficiency while adding distinct finishes such as custom die cuts, foil stamping, and embossing. The production team at Prisma delivered efficiency excellence by streamlining the process in-house, from concept to partial assembly. Prisma’s web-to-print technology solution, dokshop, was utilized to implement brand guideline efficiencies and virtually curate all of the packaging, retail, and point of sale materials.

Leveling Up: Packaging Power
Another of our clients had begun their packaging journey with soft touch aqueous, but upon meeting with the Prisma team were inspired by client Fairytale Brownies’ custom box wraps. Their team was immediately drawn to the effects of the reticulated varnish, and wanted to level up their packaging game starting with their holiday box. The new packaging was streamlined with the use of the instant dry ink of the Komori offset press and was then mounted and diecut. The end result was a new packaging innovation that echoed the brand’s cutting-edge vape technology and unparalleled quality.
Packaging Perfection
Both of these clients had different goals and strategies for success, but through innovation and marketing logistics efficiencies, both brands are poised for continued growth. Cannabis packaging is complex and requires a knowledgeable team of experts to ensure success.

Benchmark Electronics is an all-inclusive technology design, production, and manufacturing company. They are equipped to handle projects from conception to full-scale manufacturing and beyond! When they needed a mural installation on the glass walls of their conference room for their Tempe office location, Prisma’s grand format team stepped up to the plate. Benchmark wanted something that would really capture their brand and showcase the lively town of Tempe, Arizona. Prisma developed a plan that would accomplish this with style and ease.
Prisma’s goal was to create a unique, functional, and visually appealing Benchmark mural. Our creative team worked closely with Benchmark to design a mural that showcased the essence of their Tempe location, while simultaneously maintaining brand consistency. The Benchmark team decided to feature something that would make them feel at home, which is why Prisma’s creative team incorporated imagery of the well-known Tempe Town Lake and “A” Mountain in the mural. This representation is exclusive to this Benchmark location; whereas their logo and tagline on the mural uphold their brand and keep it consistent amongst all Benchmark locations.
Prisma printed the mural directly on eight Dusted Crystal glass panels using our wide format printer. This material helps to create an aesthetic visual from the inside. While the original material for the project was going to be opaque, Prisma recommended that the panels be translucent to allow more light into the room. This was key to really making the mural pop! Prisma’s installation team brought the entire design together by also including Dusted Crystal glass on the conference room doors.
