One city in America will get the opportunity to give their residents a green future if they are selected as the winner of this environmentally friendly marketing contest.
Sherri May & Co., a creative services firm headquartered in Phoenix, is giving away a marketing campaign, which includes professionally designed statement inserts, brochures, avenue banners, billboards and signage, valued at approximately $85,000. Applications for consideration can be submitted up until Feb. 28, 2011.
“There is a lot of talk about being green, but people don’t always know that it only takes a few simple changes to make a big difference,” said Sherri May, owner & president of Sherri May & Co. “By offering this opportunity to an entire community, we believe this will not only make a difference to our environment, but it will also provide a positive economic impact.”
The goal of the marketing campaign is to inspire city residents to adopt new practices that will help reduce energy use and fossil fuel emissions, and improve citywide energy efficiency.
To enter, cities must complete an eight-question entry form by Feb. 28. Don’t worry, it’s free to apply. Finalists will then be selected and asked to participate in a conference call interview. The winning city will be named on March 15.
The winning city will work closely with Sherri May & Co. to coordinate campaign details for maximum impact and to track results.
By engaging residents, the campaign will help increase awareness for the winning community as well as help that community gain recognition and reputation as one of America’s greenest cities. The winning city will also garner recognition as an environmentally safe place to live and can help encourage economic growth.
