Karla Smith serves as Vice President of Human Resources for Prisma, where she partners with leadership to build and support a high-performing, people-first culture across the organization. A strategic HR executive with extensive experience aligning human resources initiatives with business objectives, Karla oversees the planning, development, and administration of Prisma’s human resources programs and operations.

Known for her collaborative leadership style, Karla is a trusted advisor to management and employees alike, helping teams navigate growth, organizational change, talent development, employee engagement, and workforce strategy. She is recognized for her ability to build strong relationships at every level of an organization while driving initiatives that strengthen both culture and business performance.

Karla holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) certification. She is also certified in Mental Health First Aid. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Karla brings a broad perspective and deep commitment to supporting employees and fostering inclusive workplace environments.
