The Next Generation of dokshop

Motivation for Change

More than 20 years ago, Prisma transformed marketing logistics by developing dokshop, an online storefront with unified branded materials customized to a business’ needs. It serves as a centralized marketing hub for end-to-end brand management and logistics solutions and has catapulted immense client success and growth in a short period of time. This growth, combined with Prisma’s values of investing in new technology and anticipating our clients’ needs, has inspired the development of dokshop 2.0. This update to our technology stack allows us to reorganize our feature set and modernize software solutions to allow for continued expansion. This new technology will help businesses manage their branded collateral needs more efficiently and increase their speed to market.

Creating a Seamless Transition

The dokshop development team was determined to build on and improve this system for our clients. They worked diligently for almost a full year to develop this upgrade. It is live today, and all new clients are automatically built using this new version. Our dokshop and sales teams will work closely with clients currently using the original version of dokshop to ensure a seamless migration process. We expect almost all of our current clients to be migrated successfully by this time next year. Through this easy migration process, our clients will continue to be able to streamline their marketing solutions and get products into the hands of their end-users as quickly as possible.

Maximizing Performance

The next generation of dokshop results in improved performance and simplified processes for our clients. Page load times and ordering steps have been reduced to streamline ordering. Product Bundles, an improved version of what are called Dynamic Kits in Classic, support more product types and allow users to leave and return to finalize a bundle, better accommodating our clients’ schedules. We have expanded our coupon types, including support for reward dollars that can be spent without needing to physically enter in a coupon code. Taking client input into heavy consideration, the development team re-designed the checkout process so that users are now only required to enter shipping information one time for a single destination.

With dokshop 2.0, the steps for inventory management and ordering are drastically reduced and put in the hands of the end-user. “The numerous order and approval configurations that dokshop supports enable corporate-level resources to focus on other aspects of their business with peace of mind that the right collateral is accessible to those that need it,” adds Marissa Bernard, Director of Technology at Prisma. This upgrade further automates processes to enable a quicker speed to market that’s geared towards scalability.
